
Kristen

Kristen Eveland has nearly 25 years of experience in education, including teaching grades K–6 before moving into a role as an instructional coach, where she helped implement a district-wide 1:1 iPad program, facilitated curriculum adoptions for English-Language Arts, Math, and History-Social Science, and supported new and veteran teachers with curriculum implementation and innovative instructional practices. Kristen worked as a Cognitively Guided Instruction (CGI) Mathematics trainer for the San Diego State University Center for Research in Mathematics and Science Education and is currently a partner consultant for The Core Collaborative, supporting teams of teachers in shifting to research-based, student-centered math instruction.
Kristen is an adjunct professor at the University of San Diego and has also taught for National University. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies and her Master of Arts degree in Teaching, Learning, and Technology from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego.

In addition to consulting and coaching, Kristen has been a frequent presenter in the Southern California are at conferences including CUE, SDCUE, NCTM, and the Superintendent's AGTF.
